In Memory of Kipp Feldt & Support of his Family

Donation protected
Kipp Edward Feldt, 47, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack after a morning run at his home in Olathe, Kansas on Saturday, August 19, 2023.

Kipp had a huge personality and loved a good joke or prank. He would do anything for a laugh and was known to take things just a tad too far - much to his friends’ and kids’ delight. His interests were numerous, but cooking, experimenting with ingredients, and brewing beer were among his favorites. In addition to a 20-year career as Vice President with TekniqData Corporation in Overland Park, Kansas, he was the co-founder and brewmaster of The Big Rip in North Kansas City. He created original recipes and taught others this trade.

Kipp’s greatest desire in life was to become a father. Kipp and Shannon were honored to have a son, Davis William, 16, and a daughter, Georgia Louise, 13. Kipp was passionate about spending time with them and was involved in every aspect of their lives. He enjoyed and encouraged their participation in sports (especially hockey), camping, and community volunteerism. He explored the United States with them, taking trips ranging from the beaches to the mountains. Spending time with his children gave him great pride and satisfaction.

If you would like to honor Kipp’s memory by supporting Davis and Georgia directly during this difficult time, we encourage you to make a gift to this GoFundMe. Donations will be used to bridge a financial gap during this time of transition and heartache. The family also encourages contributions in Kipp’s memory to be made to the Special Olympics.

Kipp is survived by his father, William Edward Feldt, mother, Gwenlynn Viola Trullinger, brother, Tadd William Feldt, sister, Tera Feldt Gardner (Mark), children, Davis William Feldt and Georgia Louise Feldt, girlfriend, Krista Kruggel, and numerous extended family and friends.

A celebration of life for Kipp will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Barley's Kitchen & Tap in Shawnee, Kansas. All family and friends are welcome to come between 4:00 and 6:00 PM to honor his memory.

We encourage you to share a memory of Kipp or leave a special message for his family here.
