Hello Everyone! Thank you for opening my GoFundMe page. On July 4th, 2022, my vehicle was involved in an accident on Philip Ave in the Bronx. While responding to a robbery, NYPD officers from the 45th precinct pursued an individual who drove at high speeds and lost control of the car he had just stolen. The car thief crashed the stolen car into my parked car and damaged it beyond repair. It was heartbreaking to see how my brand new car, which we purchased back in April with money from my savings, was utterly destroyed. We use this car to drive around and support our physically disabled mother, who has severe arthritis in her knees and is legally deaf.

When we tried to get support and compensation from our insurance company, we were turned down because I did not have Collision coverage within my insurance policy. As a result, we were told that we could not file a claim with the insurance policy of the owner of the stolen car because the vehicle was stolen. NYPD did not express any support or concern towards our car; we were simply collateral damage. Therefore, we will receive no financial support from either our insurance company or NYPD. We are in the process of searching for legal support at this time and are open to receiving any recommendations.
