Ashley's Stolen Car Fund!

Hi,

My name is Missi and I was appalled by the news I received the other day from my friend, Ashley. On the night of Thursday, January 28th, 2016, Ashley came home to her house broken into with many of her possessions stolen, including her car!

Ashley is an early childhood teacher at Morningstar, a 4-star QualiStar-rated, yoga-based early childhood center in Denver, CO. She is a mother of a beautiful and energetic 2 year old, Jax! She shines brighter than the universe lets her shine most days. She is selfless and always puts her son and her family and friends before herself.

When she left her house early evening, there were 2 young men (approx. 15-18 years old) hanging outside of her apartment. When she returned, her car wasn't parked in the spot she left it and when she got to the entrance of her apartment, the door was wide open and sliding back door was destroyed. Amongst many of the valuables stolen was her car.

Upon the police report, upstairs neighbors reported the 2 young men climbing down onto her back porch area. When spotted, they started discussing how they couldn't wait for their mother to get home and going through the back door is the best way to get in the apartment when they get locked out.

The police still haven't located the 2 young men or her vehicle. She was told the likelihood of getting her car back was slim. She still owed money on the vehicle and after talking with her insurance company, she's not certain she will get enough money to purchase a new vehicle.

The kicker is that she had just signed a lease and needed to move out of her apartment and into a better suited home for her and her son this past weekend, and she was left without a vehicle. Luckily enough, I had a dear friend rent her a car for this week, but she needs reliable transporation with a 2 year old son and living 30 minutes from Denver.

Ashley is a modest woman. She doesn't prioritize material things and she's handled the situation with positivity. With $10,000, she could get a decent used car to get around and to and from work. It would mean the world to me if people could come together to help her get back on her feet!
