Hello, my name is Dodie and our family is trying to raise money for my sister and her family during this hard time. We recently lost her husband, David Cooper, unexpectedly to cancer. He was diagnosed last week with a form of stage 4 cancer that rapidly spread from his kidney, liver, lung, spine, and his brain. We had no idea that he had cancer. It took us all by surprise. He was an active employee of NMSU grounds for 17 years, keeping all the athletic fields in top condition. He was a very dedicated family man, and he enjoyed being with his kids and family all the time. He was an Army veteran that always tried to teach his kids to respect our country and others. He was always willing to help anyone in need and was a very respectful man. He will be greatly missed.
