Hello to everyone reading this.
My name is Adele and I'm writing this from the heart. I'm on a mission to make my best friend Karen's wishes come true to get married on the 14th of December.
Karen was diagnosed with Cancer in February of this year. She underwent Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy and was given the all clear in June. Karen carried on throughout this illness caring for her twin boys who both have disabilities. Karen is an amazing woman she hasn't had it easy and it's been a long hard struggle at times with raising the twins as they both have their individual needs as well as her own. Karen has a long-term partner Paul who has been there and supported them through all of this.
Karen began to feel unwell again a short time ago. After further tests it revealed that the Cancer had returned, this time with devastating news. She has Stage 4 Cancer of the Lungs and Brain and is now terminal. With a very short time left she is undergoing treatment again but only 80% of it because her body is too weak for the full doseage of Chemotherapy to be given. We are hoping that will prolong things long enough to get Karen through to Christmas or longer so she can share it with her loving family and friends.
I would love for Karen and Paul to have an amazing Wedding day with everybody's help. I would just like to help cover towards the Wedding in any way possible. This Wedding has had to be organised at such short notice so we haven't got the time to organise the big fairytale Wedding they deserve.
This would mean so much to Karen and her family. Karen is a beautiful woman on the inside and outside and such an inspiration to many.
Please donate whatever sum you like. Every little helps. I just want to see her Sons' Joshua and Harrison take Karen down the aisle.
