- Hi, my name is Kathy and I'm trying to get help for my cousin Dr. JacQueline Lawton. This all started when she was in Texas at a Phi Beta Sigma conference, and on off hours, attended a blood drive with a Soror. After donating blood, my cousin and her Soror were leaving the air conditioned facility, and stepped out into the 100°+ heat, when she fell and hit her head. She was taken to a hospital, where a CT scan revealed that she had a mandarin sized tumor on her brain. The tumor was not the result of the fall; just a blessing to allow doctors to then discover it. It was determined that it was not urgent to remove it, so, she was given the choice to undergo the procedure in Texas, or her home state of South Carolina. She and her family chose SC. The dedication that my cousin has to her school, her students, (she's an Educator), her Church, her Sorority, her family, and her community as a whole, is unmatched! She began planning all that she could, prior to her October procedure, to complete as much as she possibly could, to ensure that everything would be done, decently and in order. New school opened, Sorority business handled, church business scheduled, invites for Granny completed, check, check, check, and double checked. My cousin's list of TO-DOs, were DONE. The surgery did not go as anticipated, and here we are, over 40 days after the first procedure, (there were 3), Dr. J spoke her very first words, this 4th day of December, 2023! Bless God. Please continue to pray for JacQui; she needs everyone to lift her up in thanksgiving and in praise. Give it over to God and leave it there. Would you also consider giving a donation to help with all that has accumulated since her October surgery? PLEASE show her the same honor and dedication that she has shown to each of us throughout her walk with us! Please help!
