AMBER JERSEY LLOYD MEDICAL EXPENSES

Donation protected
ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2015, Amber Jersey Lloyd and her friend, Nick Streibig were walking in the floodwaters near her home in Conway,  since they were a little stir crazy and needed to get out since the roads were not safe to drive on due to the rising water, as it had been raining for several days.

During this walk Amber was sucked into a storm drain on Harris Shortcut Road in Conway, SC,  and her friend Nick Streibig also was sucked in trying to save her.  They went under the paved road and what seemed like forever, they were eventually forced out by the water on the other side of the road.   Amber almost drown that day, but Angels were looking out for her.  She was pulled from the water by one of those angels and was blue with no pulse.  This good samaratan immediately started CPR and some of the water was expelled from her lungs to where she had a pulse and was back to the land of the living.  911 was called and she was transported to Conway Hospital and was in ICU until her release today.  See video of hospital thank you from Amber on her facebook page that was taken this morning.

Thank you to Nick Streibig for being there and helping to pull her from the rapid waters on the side of the road.  Nick sustained cuts and bruises but his main focus was to get Amber out of the water and to the hospital.  The ambulence did not allow Nick to ride with her to the hospital which is normally a short 10 minute ride but due to the flooding, it took almost 45 minutes to arrive and get to the hospital before the ambulance.

Amber is 27 and she has an 8 year old daughter and she was given a second chance at living her life and being there for her daughter and family.  The sad part is that Amber has no insurance on herself.  She works as a waitress at Ryans Steakhouse in Conway, SC

Amber has many friends, is an avid surfer and loves the water.  She is a very giving person and a good friend to all who know her.  She is also an avid Melon Head Fan.    She was suppose to be out of state at a concert during this horrific and historic flood but fate dictated that she stay here.

I am not a religious person but do believe in a higher power, and that everything happens for a reason.    Amber was given a second chance at life.  So many people in South Carolina have experienced substantial loss of homes and belongings, but you can never replace the ones you love who fall victim to Mother Nature.

Please help Amber by donating what you can afford, as every little bit helps and pay it forward.   She will have substantial medical bills after this, all the while raising a child and being a mother.  It may be some time before she is able to go back to work.

I have a daughter of my own, and my life would be devastated to lose her or any family member I hold dear to my heart.  Amber is part of my family and her mother, Rhonda Lloyd is my best friend.  I wanted to do what I could to reach out and try and help my friends daughter, as I know she would do it for me.

Thank you,
