Help for BUTCH ♥️
Donation protected
My friend Carla and I pulled this sweet soul off the street on Sunday. He had been tied to a pole and left to die in 90 degree heat. I saw him while driving and called Carla to help me try to help him.
In addition to being severely dehydrated and scared out of his mind, we saw he also showed signs of possibly having been used as a bait dog for fighting. He was extremely hand skittish re: anyone reaching over his head/back (a tell-tale sign of abuse by humans), has welts on his body, bite marks on his neck, and we think his vocal chords have been cut.
Despite all of this mis-treatment, after we gave him lots of water and several McDonalds cheeseburgers he warmed up to us. Carla to got him off the old leash and onto a new one, walked him, and we loaded him into the car. He easily allowed us to pet him after that and even rolled on his back and offered his belly and licked us once we were in the car for awhile.
Because we didn’t have any immediate alternative we had to take him to a shelter. With the help of several incredible folks, we’ve put together a plan to help “Butch”,
as we are calling him, get a chance at the great life he deserves in a loving forever home. I’ll be taking him in to foster once he’s been medically evaluated, neutered, and helped with rehabilitation training (around some fear aggression). The cost of all of this is more than I’m able to do on my own, so I’m reaching out for help.
We are on a very tight timeline. The adoption has to happen this Friday 9/20 in the morning to ensure he isn’t euthanized, and the pre-surgery bath and the rehab training need to be paid for by Monday 9/23.
We are looking to raise $700.
If we can get 100 people to donate $7, we’re covered. Can you help by pitching in and sharing this campaign with 7 friends? A super deserving, loving dog will eternally be grateful - and so will we- for your helping us to help him. Butch is really very special ♥️
We need:
$122 adoption fee
$100 bath
$400 training
(+ 3% GoFundMe fee)
Any additional money we’re able to raise for Butch will go to cover a comprehensive veterinary exam, teeth cleaning (his teeth need some love), any additional training needed, and food costs. Anything above and beyond these costs will be donated to Animal Rescue Mission once Butch is in his forever home.
♥️
With gratitude,
Wade
