On December 14, 2015  a terrorist rammed his car into a crowd of people that were waiting for a bus in Jerusalem.

Amongst the crowd was a mother and her 15 month old baby. The mother was injured and the baby has been in critical condition since.

3 days after the attack my sister mentioned to me the surename of the mother & baby. I immediately got in touch with my friend who has the same surname - to enquire whether they were related to the victims or not, but received no response.

On December 19  another friend of mine unfortunately sent me a message confirming what I feared. The baby's parents are those who I tried to reach just a few days prior to find out if all was ok. Benjamin and Yael Sitbon have been  very good friends of mine for many years.  As you can understand the news came as an enourmous shock.

I met Benjamin when i was in Kevutzat Yavneh in 2007/8 Ulpan Ivrit when i intended to make Aliyah.  I had to return to the UK later that year due to my mother having a terminal ilness. During this trying time in my life Benjamin came to visit me and my family in London to  show his support. We have stayed in touch ever since my time in Isreal and now its time to support a friend when he and his family are in need.

 Yael and Yotam are still in hospital. Yael is stable. Unfortunately, Yotam's little left leg was amputated as he continues to fight on .

Unfortunately,  on an every day basis innocent people fall victims to  acts of terror but they seems to hit home a lot harder when it is someone close to you.

Yotam's father Benjamin now find himself unable to go back to work (for the time being) as Yael & little Yotam now need his full and undevided attention.

Today  I reach out to you to please join me in showing  our support to the  Sitbon family.  Let's help Benjamin, Yael and Yotam get through this very long and trying journey, sadly a journey of pain and ditress. 

All funds raised will be used to help Benjamin and Yael cover their basic living expenses for some time until they can go back to work.

All the moneis will be sent directly to the Sitbons as soon as we hit our target or if dont manage to hit the target whatever we have raised will be sent by bank transfer by the 15th of January.
