Hi, my name is Erin. I slipped on the ice and broke both bones in my lower leg just above the ankle. Tomorrow I'm having surgery on it. I am a caregiver for elderly and hospice patients, and will be out of work for some time.

After caring for my mom who had Alzheimer's for 7 years, we had only recently moved to a new state to begin to rebuild our own lives that were put on hold to help her. We've been slowly getting our finances back in order and the loss of income plus medical bills will be devastating to us. I earn the majority wage.

I'm in a hospital 2 1/2 hours from our home and my husband and son will have to travel to be with me.

We just need help to replace lost wages while I'm off work and to start paying on the sizeable medical bills I'll have.
