In October 2020, Joan, a beloved teacher of over 20 years, was diagnosed with HER-2 Positive Breast Cancer. She bravely underwent a mastectomy that same month, followed by months of chemotherapy and radiation up to October 2021. Despite her strength and commitment to treatment, recent follow-up checks revealed that the cancer has spread, and as such she underwent another round of chemotherapy to reduce these growths. She now requires continuous, costly medication to keep the growths under control and extend her life.

Our current resources are simply not enough to meet these overwhelming medical expenses, and her family and friends, who have supported her tirelessly, need help.
