911 operator calling for help

Hello, my name is Tom and I wholeheartedly thank you for reading my story. My family and I have been struck speechless (which you know for Nuzzis is hard to do). My amazing sister Dawn, a single mom, private person, trauma survivor, and lifesaver, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Dawn fought this battle bravely and stayed positive and hopeful throughout the ordeal. The nurse at one of her visits told Dawn that Dawn was the most positive fighter she had seen in the 20 years of the nurse’s career. Dawn was making great progress in winning until it took an unforeseen turn last week. Dawn's final call-out went through on Friday, May 31st, 2024 when she lost her battle. I wanted to start this GoFundMe page earlier but Dawn ever the selfless soul she is wanted to wait so that Angelina would benefit from it instead of herself. Dawn also up until the day she passed thought she was beating this insidious beast. Her daughter Angelina could use some help.

Dawn like her name is a beautiful shining example of love, dedication, and perseverance. Dawn started her life-saving career when she was four and had to save her big brother from drowning. Growing up, she wanted to be a police officer like our grandfather. After she completed her Bachelor’s degree, she found her true calling as a 911 operator where she dedicated her life to making sure others get the help they need.

Dawn is also dedicated to her only daughter Angelina even following Angelina to Manhattan so Angelina could pursue her studies in Opera Performance at the Manhattan School of Music. My niece, Angelina, like her name, has the voice of an angel and was blessed to study Opera. Angelina also facing current health issues has a tremendous mountain of student debt that is only growing as she has put her further studies and career on hold to assist her mom in this challenge. Dawn, was unable to work for the last year and Angelina is currently employed at an entry-level position this means Angelina is facing an uphill battle with the fight for Dawn's life as well as also having to now deal with finding a place to live and having money for daily living expenses live. This GoFundMe account has been created to help Angelina in her time of need.

Any money donated will be used:

• to help Angelina with living expenses Rent, food gas etc.

• to help Angelina pay her student debt as she deals with the aftermath of her mom’s illness and death

• to help pay for final expenses for Dawn including funeral/celebration of life, asset expenses like vehicles
