9-11 EMS Memorial

The New Jersey State First Aid Council Inc took possession of a beam from the World Trade Center in 2011.  A location for the artifact had not been found until early 2017.  The location would be in Keansburg, NJ.  The site will contain a monument stone, two columns representing the World Trade Center, and the five foot by four foot beam mounted between them.  It will contain the name of those EMS First Responders who perished in 9-11. This will be dedicated to those emergency medical first responders who perished and to those still suffering the effects of 9-11.

The cost of this memorial could reach as much as one hundred thousand dollars. ($100,000.00).  We are currently looking for agencies to help pay for the Memorial.  We have funds, but not nearly enough to handle the cost.  The World Trade Center steel has not had a resting place and this location looks over the New York Skyline, across from where the World Trade Center once stood.

This project is very important and the need for it to succeed is imperative.  The Memorial is a long time coming.  Something Of note, there is no other Memorial dedicated solely to emergency medical first responders of 9-11.  It will be the first of its kind in the United States.  The initial ground breaking of the site in Keansburg has been done and that shovel sits in the National September 11 Memorial Museum.  Help us Honor those EMS Personnel who perished, Give closer to those Ems Personnel who still suffer from the effects of 9-11 and give a place for EMS Personnel's Family to go and reflect.  We hope to raise the money needed to open this year on 9/11 2018.
