9 Women Climb Kilimanjaro in Record Time for Orphan Children
Donation protected
We are an international group of women who will climb Kilimanjaro together. To show our committment and raise awareness we aim to set a new world record by reaching Uhuru Peak (5895m) within 48 hours, while it normally takes 5-9 days!
Our goal is to inspire and empower women by our example, because we are all capable of much more than we think is possible.
We believe in the power of community achievement and the importance of giving back. Therefor, we will raise funds for 'Msamariakids.org.', an NGO in Moshi, Tanzania that provides education, food, clothing and a home for street children. https://msamariakids.org/
The challenge is the steep 35.5 km hike, ascending 3925m while adapting quickly to extreme altitude and decreased air pressure. Acute Mountain Sickness can set in due to decreased partial pressure of oxygen (PO2) at high altitudes. It’s 69% of what we normally experience at sea level, resulting in a lower arterial oxygen saturation. We are all certified Wim Hof Method (WHM) instructors and will therefore use the WHM breathing technique to keep our O2 saturation as high as possible. https://www.wimhofmethod.com/science
We are asking for your support to help us reach our funding goal and highly appreciate any contribution you can offer. With €4,000 we can support 9 children for one whole year. The remaining amount will be used to cover a small part of the expenses to complete the challenge.
Your contribution means a lot to us. Donate now to support our mission and give children a brighter future!
FYI:
Since we cannot make a direct transfer to Tanzania via GoFundMe, the donated sum will be transferred via an account in Germany.
