Hi, we’re Athena and Milly.

Just a few days into our holiday, we came across 11 tiny stray puppies — sadly, two had already passed away.

Here, it’s unfortunately common for strays to be left to fend for themselves, which often means the puppies don’t survive and the mothers are left to repeat the cycle again and again. As lifelong animal lovers, we can’t just walk away.

We’re asking for your help, because as much as we wish we could, we aren’t able to fund their needs ourselves.

Just £9 buys a 10kg bag of dry food — currently enough to feed all the puppies and their mums for a week.

Donations will go towards food, flea and worm treatments, vaccinations, and (hopefully) neutering the mums to break the cycle for them for good.

Athena’s mum, Samantha, who runs BARK (Broadhurst Animal Rescuers Kent), and her family will be taking over the puppies’ care here for two weeks once we return to the UK. After that, a trusted local friend will continue caring for them in a secure compound, with help from kind locals.

Samantha and Athena are well known for rescuing and rehoming dogs — wherever they are — and we’re determined to keep these little ones safe, healthy, and alive until they can find loving forever homes.
