9 Peaks Challenge

Donation protected
Explorer Mark Wood came in to McCann Manchester earlier this year to tell us about his incredible mission: to summit Mount Everest, creating the biggest and most extreme classroom on the planet involving 1 million students worldwide. Our very own Ben Kaberry, an Art Director at McCann Manchester, joined Mark in being the first in exploration history where explorers use the latest technologies to film and communicate with students globally.

We’ve been so inspired by their determination and daring that we’ve launched our own initiative to inspire and empower McCann Manchester colleagues.

Teams from the agency will be scaling some of the highest peaks in the UK. The aim is, by doing the climbs over the course of the year, to have made the same ascent as Everest - 8848m. In fact, we’ll reach 9,130m once complete.

We’ve organised three walking challenges that will be staggered throughout the year: Welsh Peaks (Pen-y-Fan, Cadair Idris, Snowdon) Lake Peaks (Scafell Pike, Helvellyn, Skiddaw) and National Peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon), the most challenging of the three walks.

It’s an opportunity to challenge ourselves and connect with the great outdoors, all in the name of raising money for environmental and mental health charities: Prince’s Trust , Mind  and Fix the Fells.

We would be grateful if you can spare a few pounds, raise money for these great causes and help us spread the word.
