In 2026, we will take on a powerful and symbolic challenge: climbing 110 floors, the height of the World Trade Center towers, to honour the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

Our mission is to unite 343 firefighters from across the UK, each representing a different fire and rescue service, in a collective act of remembrance and solidarity. Together, we will travel to America to participate in the 2026 Memorial Stair Climb, standing shoulder to shoulder with our international firefighting family as we pay tribute to those who gave everything.

This is more than a physical test. It is a tribute to courage, a demonstration of unity, and a commitment to supporting those who continue to serve their communities every day. Through this event, we aim to raise vital funds for three incredible causes that make a real difference to the lives of firefighters and the wider blue light community:

The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund – providing essential support to firefighters and their families across the U.S.

The Fire Fighters Charity – offering life-changing physical, mental, and emotional support to UK firefighters and their loved ones.

Blue Light Card Foundation – championing the wellbeing of the entire Blue Light Community across health, emergency, social care, and the armed forces, recognising the vital role they play in society.

Please note that the primary purpose of this fundraising effort is to support my attendance at the 2026 Memorial Stair Climb. This includes travel, accommodation, and event-related costs required to take part in this important act of remembrance.

Any funds raised beyond what is needed for my participation will be evenly distributed between the three charities listed above, ensuring that every additional contribution directly benefits those who serve and those who support them.
