Hey everyone, it’s Teresa, Marianne’s daughter. She would hate me for doing this, but it is so necessary. As many know, my mom had a terrible injury to her femur that required surgical repair on Sunday 9/14. She has been hospitalized since Friday night. She faces another 3-5 days in the hospital and then will have to complete quite a bit of rehab. She will not be able to walk/bear weight on her broken/fixed leg for a minimum of 6 weeks with monthly X-rays to monitor for healing with the rod and nails placed in her femur.

Anyone who knows my mom, knows that she gives, and gives and gives to everyone else, and leaves nothing for herself. She is the most selfless human being on this planet and would give someone her last penny, even if it meant she would go without. She will be out of work for an unknown amount of time. We all know bills don’t stop just because our lives do when they are flipped upside down, like hers has been. She does not have a savings, 401k, short term disability, or anything like this. Obviously we do not plan for such a tragic thing to happen to ourselves, nor do we prepare ahead of time, most of the time.

My mom needs prayers first and foremost that she will heal to her maximum potential in hopes to become independent again. She also needs words of encouragement, uplifting thoughts and anything and everything in between. This will be, and has been extremely difficult for her mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

I am not asking for hand outs. I am asking for thought and prayers above all. As well as hopes to alleviate this immense financial burden for her in the next 6+ months that she will need to continue to recover. She has a long, really long road ahead and any help would be greatly appreciated. Any funds raised will be given directly to her to continue to pay bills while she is also accruing an ER, surgery and hospital bill in the mean time.
