Run for Eve VHI Mini Marathon: Breakthrough Cancer Research

Hi Everyone!

Please join us in fundraising for our 2nd year completing the VHI Women's Mini Marathon in honor of our beloved sister and friend Eve McMahon.

In October 2021, Eve, aged 22 received the devastating diagnosis of Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive sub-type of Sarcoma Cancer. Over the course of 7 months, Eve underwent intensive treatment under the compassionate care of the staff in St. Vincent's Private Hospital Dublin. Throughout her treatments, she showed remarkable perseverance with unwavering courage. Sadly, Eve passed away on the 19th of June 2022.

Last year, two week's before Eve's first anniversary a group of over 25 of Eve’s family, friends and neighbors successfully completed the 2023 VHI Women's Mini Marathon in Dublin city centre. We raised over €27,000 for Sarcoma Cancer Ireland. This year we will be gathering again and raising much needed funds for Breakthrough Cancer Research Ireland, an Irish medical research charity focused on cancer.

See here for Last Year's Fundraiser and to learn more about our wonderful Eve.

Thank you for joining us in commemorating Eve's memory and supporting an organisation who work tirelessly to improve the lives of people like Eve.

Lucy (Eve's sister) and Ellen (Eve's friend) xx
