Officer Bailey wasn’t just a great officer — he was a kind soul, a steady teammate, and someone who always looked out for others. His smile, his dedication, and the way he cared for this community will never be forgotten.

Support Officer Luke Bailey’s Fight Against Cancer

Luke Bailey has always been the one others call when they need help.

A dedicated police officer with the Phenix City Police Department, Luke serves on the department’s Special Response Team and is known for his unwavering commitment to protecting and serving his community. Before joining the force, Luke served four years in the U.S. Army Reserves, continuing a life of selfless service.

Luke is also a proud single father to his 13-year-old daughter, who is the center of his world.

In April, Luke received devastating news: a cancer diagnosis. Despite the diagnosis, he continued to fight — undergoing treatment with strength and courage. In June, while still processing his own health battle, Luke tragically lost his father. And now, just weeks later, Luke has been hospitalized again due to complications from pneumonia, an irregular heart rate, and dangerously low blood pressure. Doctors have also discovered nodules in his lungs, adding to the seriousness of his condition.

Luke has always shown up for others — his community, his brothers and sisters in blue, and most importantly, his daughter. Now, he needs us to show up for him.
