Running for Alzheimers
Donation protected
Hi everyone
So some of you may know that over the last 3 years my family has been hit hard by the awful disease of Alzheimers. My wonderful Father-in-law John Joe was diagnosed about 3 years and heartbreakingly passed away earlier this year. Then about a year ago my own amazing Dad, Gerry, was also diagnosed with Alzheimers. It's been a tough few years and funds are badly needed to continue with research and drug advancement for the disease, which is becoming more prevalent.
Some of you may also know that during lockdown in 2020 I ran my first marathon (on my own!) and now I am getting the chance to run in the Dublin Marathon on 30th October in aid of Western Alzheimers. This means so much to me to be running my first official marathon and for a cause so close to my heart and in memory of my beautiful Father-in-law and hopefully with my own Dad to witness it.
I would be extremely grateful if you can please donate whatever you can for such a good cause.
Thanks and wish me luck!
