This fundraising effort is in honor of my dad Dražen. As some of you know, my dad was diagnosed with stomach cancer a month ago. Unfortunately, at the time it was discovered, it was already in the terminal stage with cancer spread to his liver, esophagus and lymph nodes. He lost his battle after only one month which was very unexpected and sudden for me, my mom and my sister. My dad was a rock of this family. He was the one financially taking care of the family and running the business alongside my mom for the past 30 years they have been together. With me and my sister moving overseas over 5 years ago, he was the only one she had. Now that he is gone, she is left alone with all the burden. Considering this was very unexpected and we were not prepared for this, my mom, even with our help, still had to use all of her savings to cover the cost of the funeral.
