Julie Beth Cooper died Monday, July 27th in Jasper. She was the wife of Lt. John Cooper of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. Julie was born Sept. 18, 1970 in Lufkin, Texas. She was a 1988 graduate of Lufkin High School and was currently employed with Complete Healthcare Services in Jasper. Julie was an active member of Wives of The Badge and loved hunting, fishing and spending time with her husband on the deer lease. She loved her family more than anything and was a member of the Shawnee Church of Jesus Christ.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shawnee Church of Jesus Christ on Hwy 69, 5 miles South of Huntington, with interment to follow in the West Oaks Cemetery on Hwy. 63 West in Jasper. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday evening, July 30th, at Shawnee Church. Memories and condolences may be added at www.carrowayfuneralhome.com.

Julie Cooper’s survivors include her husband, John Allen Cooper, of Jasper; a son and daughter-in-law, Colt and Katie Jordan of Huntington; daughters, Lillie Ann Cooper of Jasper and Arielle Cooper of Lake Charles, La; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Wanda Fletcher of Lufkin, Dennis and Toni Fletcher of Aledo and Robert Fletcher of Quinlan; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Kenneth Keely of Lufkin; parents, James and Betty (Berry) Fletcher; mother-in-law Freddie Nelson of Huntington; father-in-law, John Roy Cooper of DeRidder, La., three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Julie always had a ready smile and a kind word and will be missed by all who knew her.
