Hey! It’s me! I’m getting a double mastectomy!

As many of you know, I’ve been transitioning from female to male for a while. I have been on testosterone for just over a year and a half and have decided that it is time to take another step in my transition. I am getting top surgery (aka a double mastectomy & chest masculinization)!

This is a procedure that has been on my mind for years. I knew at some point in my life I would be getting a procedure to minimize my chest or remove my breasts completely. Beyond years of chronic back issues, my chest has caused me issues with mobility, forced me to go up a size in clothing, and ruined my posture. On top of all of this, the mental burden of my body not matching how I feel internally has caused a lot of pain. As I get further along in my transition and the more I pass as male, my chest has also become a safety concern. It is no secret that transphobia has become more prevalent in America and across the world in recent years and being visibly trans has caused me to be harassed or pushed out of public spaces purely because of my appearance. This surgery will help me feel safer in public, alleviate significant physical pain, and improve my overall mental health.

I am looking for funds to help me throughout my recovery. I will be unable to work or fully support myself for about a month after the procedure. I am looking for financial support with groceries, bills, medical costs, and any other expenses that may arise during this time. Having these expenses covered in advance will alleviate massive amounts of stress and help me focus on my recovery!

My current surgery date is set for July 17th, 2025, but I might be able to get in earlier if there is a cancellation! I am very excited to get this procedure and finally feel at home in my body.
