Hi everyone, my name is Michileen. My family and I are raising urgent support for communities in Manchester, Trelawny, and St. Elizabeth that were devastated by Hurricane Melissa. These parishes were hit hard, and for many families, life changed overnight.
I am working alongside my uncle, Rev. Dr. Bryan Wallace, and his wife, Rhoda, as they lead relief efforts on the ground. Dr. Wallace serves as President of Regent College of the Caribbean and Superintendent of the Western District of United Brethren in Christ Churches in Jamaica, giving him direct access to the communities that need help most.
These communities are hurting deeply. Many families lost the roofs over their heads. Many churches, which serve as shelter, community hubs, and places of comfort, have been badly damaged. Despite the destruction, the work has already begun. With the help of volunteers, Rev. Dr. Wallace and his team have delivered over 400 care packages to families in need. They are partnering with charities to secure roofing materials, food, and other essentials for those who are suffering most.
Your contribution will go directly toward:
• Roofing materials for families and churches
• Food and essential supplies for affected households
• Support for community leaders working nonstop to help their people recover
No amount is too small. Every donation helps restore hope, dignity, and stability to someone who has lost so much.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as powerful. Every share puts this in front of someone who can help a family rebuild their home, or get a meal after losing everything. Please take a moment to share this link with your friends, family, and social networks. You never know who your share might reach. Your voice can help us bring real relief to the people of St. Elizabeth, Trelawny, and Manchester during one of the hardest moments of their lives.
Thank you for standing with Jamaica.
