Hi my name is Lynette Anderson, my daughter Brooke just turned 41 last month. She also got married to her husband Blake last month. She has 3 beautiful daughters McKaleigh, Carlee and Kinzlee. Brooke is a certified pharmacy technician at Lexington Discount Drug. She has worked there for 16 years. Brooke was just diagnosed with rectal cancer December 10, 2026. We got the most wonderful news yesterday 12/17 that it has not spread anywhere else. Praise GOD! The ugly part to this besides just having “the dreaded C word” is Brooke will have to have chemo, radiation and surgery. Brooke does have insurance thru her employer but she has an 8,000.00. Deductible. Since Brooke and Blake just married they have not switched to Blakes insurance yet (which his insurance is better) she has the high deductible and out of pocket expenses. They do manage week to week as most of us do. They had a small savings which she had to use to pay for what testing that has been done, with the help of family members financially. Brooke’s daughter Kinzlee has a disability called Di-George which she was born with. Kinzlee actually just got out of a week long stay at the hospital and had a pic line for over a month. Brooke was out of work all last month to take care of Kinzlee. They have had a few blows here lately. Brooke, Blake and girls are members at Union Grove Baptist church in Beech bluff and her daughter mcKaleigh and boyfriend attend Central Grove missionary Baptist church . I’m not sure what they would do without their church families. What a blessing they both have been. Also what a blessing Brooke’s job Deanne and Sammy Pace with Lexington Discount Drug are and have been with Brooke. Don’t know where we would be with out them also. So to say the least Brooke has been blessed with a wonderful family, work family and church family from both churches. What money is donated we plan on paying medical expenses, take her to and from doctors at Vanderbilt & monthly expenses as she will be out of work from time to time. She is having a lot of stomach trouble but she goes to work everyday for fear of treatment &surgery time she will have to be off. Every dollar is a true blessing and would be greatly appreciated but most of all your prayers are most valuable. I will update as we continue on this journey. Thankyou and God Bless to all!
