Help Hope Fight Leukemia
Donation protected
About 2 weeks ago Hope started feeling very tired, short of breath and was complaining of a lump on the back of her head/neck. She went to the ER and had some tests done and was told that it was most likely muscular. A few days later she received her lab results and was told some of her counts were low and that she should follow up with a hematologist.
On Monday, 8/24/20 she was seen by the hematologist who did some additional labs. Tuesday, 8/25/20 she received the results of those tests which confirmed the MDs suspicion. The results showed an Acute Myeloid Leukemia warranting an emergency admission to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Since being at Sloan she has had a bone marrow biopsy, a CT scan and a PET/CT scan to help determine a final diagnosis so that she can begin treatment as soon as possible. The plan as of today is to begin chemotherapy mid-week next week once the biopsy and PET/CT results are back. She was told today by the Oncologist that she will be there for at least a month while she receives treatment.
We are asking for everyone's help with the financial burden she and her family will face during the next couple of months while she undergoes her treatment. All money raised will go directly to Hope and her family to use towards bills and traveling back and forth to the city.
No donation is too big or small.
