8yr Old Manny Fighting for his life. Please Help!

What Happened to EJ:

Hi, I'm Emmanuel's GMa.

In June of 2022 7 yr old Emmanuel starting complaining of his leg hurting. Within 24hrs both legs were hurting, and he struggled to walk. His Mom Ty took him to Urgent Care and they gave him Motrin and sent him home. By day three, he was running a fever and couldn’t walk. Mom took him to the ER and after they ran labs, Mom was pulled to the side to learn his blood count was over 70k which was alarming to the ER doctors.

The advised MOM they had to immediately transfer him to the local Children’s Hospital by ambulance for Leukemia testing.

There was a rush on the blood work at the Children's Hospital which showed AML -Acute myeloid leukemia. A broviac catheter was put in his chest and Chemo was started the next day.

EJ who is now known to all the medical staff at the Children's Hospital as Manny (at his request) was placed on a very aggressive chemo treatment.

Instead of Manny playing outside with his 2 younger brothers Ayden & Ashton and his big sister London, learning things other 8yr old children should be learning, he is spending his days and nights undergoing treatments and fighting for his life.

His treatments include but not limited to, chemotherapy, blood transfusions, spinal taps, bone marrow extractions & tons of other medications and procedures. He will also be immunocompromised. It's like living life in a bubble called his hospital room which is decorated with spider man and occasionally The Rock. As a family we must be careful to not come in contact with any common viruses, COVID, bacterial and fungal infections as it could be life-threatening to our little fighter.

Emotional Rollercoaster:

Time feels like it has stopped for Emmanuel's Mom. He is the 2nd oldest of 4 kiddos. Mom is moving aimlessly going through the motions of life dividing her day with work (because FMLA was denied), group support meetings & still giving mommy time to the other 3 siblings. Because 2 of the siblings are 3 & 4, they can't come to the positive air pressure floor of the hospital their brother is on. His mom and siblings are experiencing unimaginable pain, numbness & private emotional breakdowns.
