The Bailey Family sadly experienced a house fire on the early morning of Monday, September 29, 2025.

Our 15-year-old twins were not physically injured but are mentally distraught. My wife, in her bravery of getting our twins to safety and attempting to put out the inferno, sustained awful 2nd-degree burns on the top of her left foot, which has severe nerve damage and will need a skin graft. The plantar (bottom) of her right foot also has severe 2nd-degree burns. Her left forearm was affected as well in multiple locations.

We are displaced and staying in a hotel as the home has been deemed uninhabitable by the WHFD Fire Marshal due to the damage.

My wife and twins had only the clothes they were sleeping in when evacuating.

We are thankful for the efforts of The American Red Cross, Town of West Hartford, and the amazing WHPS Superintendent and Principal of Conard HS.

We are rebuilding things lost and damaged. Donations will greatly help regain a sense of normalcy until we are able to be in our home again. It may be as long as 3 months.
