Devastating Fire Destroys Family Home

Hi, my name is Sarah and the reason why I am starting this fundraiser is for a dear friend Michael Bray, owner of Mike’s Towing & Auto Repair (325 Abbe Rd. Sheffield Lake, OH 44054) who’s home caught fire in the afternoon hours of July 17, 2022. It was a total loss. Fortunately, he and his children, Logan (17) and Jake (15) were all unharmed, however, they have lost everything including their childhood home.

The restrictions during COVID-19 hit Mike’s business hard, just like so many of us, and he had to make some difficult choices during those times. Mike reluctantly cancelled his insurance leaving him uncovered incase of a catastrophic event. No one is ever prepared for a pandemic, nor the harm and loss of business it would cause. Mike was just beginning to see an upside to the downward spiral he and his children were subjected to during the COVID-19 restrictions when he endured this devastating loss.

Mike has been a lifelong resident of Sheffield Lake, along with a business owner in that community. He has helped so many people along the way with car repairs, giving them breaks on their bills and even payment plans, may of which are still unpaid. Right now Mike and his children need help from the community so that they can rebuild their home which is going to require a hefty down payment and also to replace necessary items such as clothing until they can get back on their feet again.

This is an absolutely devastating blow to Mike and his family. Anything you can spare will help, sharing this fundraiser will help, please help me to help this family recover from this tremendous loss. This is the only approved Go Fund Me that has been set up for Mike and his family. They will be the only beneficiaries listed and will receive all of the donations. I have elected to run this campaign so that Mike can focus on the steps he needs to take to recover from this devastating loss.
