Hi everyone, my name is Nathan. I’m creating this GoFundMe for my girlfriend, Christa, who’s been battling serious health issues since 2020.
Christa recently turned 25, and has always been full of joy and life — actively attending/volunteering in church, working, studying at Saddleback College, running, and passionately doing missionary work abroad.
But in 2020 her health began to decline, and after years of unanswered questions, she was finally diagnosed with severe chronic Lyme disease and toxic mold poisoning.
These illnesses have progressed rapidly, affecting nearly every organ system.
She's been so weak that she has been unable to work for over a year, and had to drop out of school as well.
Each day Christa has severe fatigue, muscle weakness, dizziness, heart palpitations, and digestive issues. Even simple tasks like standing, walking, or talking are exhausting for her.
Her doctors developed a specialized treatment plan that offers hope for almost full recovery within 1–3 years. Unfortunately, this care isn’t covered by insurance. Because of the nature of chronic Lyme disease, standard antibiotics alone aren’t enough — her recovery depends entirely on ongoing, out-of-pocket treatments.
Christa and her mom Monica have already spent nearly all their savings searching for medical answers since 2020. We’re now asking for help to cover the next 18-24 months of Christa’s treatment and her basic living expenses while she focuses fully on healing.
Also please spread the word and share this GoFundMe with anyone you think would be able to help. Any donation no matter the size is greatly appreciated and will directly help Christa’s recovery.
Christa has spent many years giving her love and time to others, and now she truly needs community support to get well.
We’re deeply grateful for donations, prayers, and encouragement. And Christa will continue sharing brief updates and prayer requests as she walks this healing journey.
Thank you for helping restore Christa’s health and hope.
With gratitude,
Nathan, Christa, and Monica
