Hi everyone,

I never thought I’d be in a position where I needed to ask for help like this, but life has a way of humbling you.

I am currently on the kidney transplant list, waiting for the call that will change my life. I am currently on dialysis three days a week and was just told I am in mild heart failure. While I wait, my health and daily life have been deeply affected, and the uncertainty has been overwhelming for both me and my family.

What I do have, though, is an incredible sibling who has stepped up in a way I can’t fully put into words. They have chosen to donate a kidney on my behalf—giving someone else a kidney so that I can receive one in return. It’s an act of love and sacrifice that I will never be able to repay.

Because of this, they will be out of work for several weeks while they recover from surgery. As a bartender, they don’t have the luxury of paid time off, which means this time away will create a real financial strain.

I’m asking for help not just for myself, but for the person who is giving so much so that I can have a second chance at life. The funds raised will go toward helping cover their everyday expenses—rent, bills, and basic needs—while they focus on healing.
