I have decided to set up another go fund me for an amazing man, Desmond Cunningham. We had a benefit for Des in November of 2014 after he was diagnosed with stage 4 Bile Duct cancer in 2013 and was given only a year to live. Des has and continues to put up an absolutely amazing fight and has surpassed the time given to him by doctors on a few occasions now. His will to live is inspiring. If you know Des, you know that he does not ask for help. Desmond suffers quietly and does his absolute best to not burden anyone else with his struggles. He is truly a phenomenal person and deserves so much more than the cards he has been dealt. However, you will never, ever hear Des complain about it. He has been in and out of the hospital a ton over the last couple years and has under gone an uncountable number of surgeries, procedures and chemotherapy. That time has greatly increased since this last summer and even more the last 2 months, but he has not given up yet again! He has decided to do chemo again. This time around it is an intensely strong dose of chemo and it takes a major toll on his body. Being the man that he is, he still works when he can (even when he should probably be at home resting) because we all know, no matter how ill you may be, the bills do not stop coming! I decided to set this up and have it open for about a week and half to raise some more money so we can lessen the burden on Desmond. If you are lucky enough to know Des, you know that he is a WONDERFUL friend and would do anything to help someone in need. So let's show this inspiring man some love! <3
