Michael Favinger is a gifted guitar player who has brought much goodness and happiness to others through his love of music. Michael has been a professional musician since his teenage years. Many of you will remember Michael from the benefits we held at Brittingham's Irish pub. He was kind enough to volunteer his superior musical talents annually at our Spring Social. As many of my friends are aware, the long road traveled by musicians often brings more happiness and joy to others than it does financial reward to the actual people providing the entertainment. Michael had a successful and fruitful career for many years playing in both bands and as a solo act. Unfortunately, the years and mileage on the guitar have finally caught up with him. Last year he faced the difficult decision to stop playing music professionally because of the excruciating pain in his hand. The countless hours of practice and performance led to severe carpal tunnel syndrome. Therefore, Michael needed several surgeries. Unfortunately, the medical expenses are above and beyond what is covered by insurance. Any assistance you can lend will be greatly appreciated.
