Hi everyone,
I’m starting this fundraiser for my amazing mom, who was recently diagnosed with a cancerous grade 4 Glioma brain tumor.
At just 53 years old, my mom has always been full of life, active, energetic, and selfless. She recently became a first-time grandmother, and only the month before symptoms, she ran a 5k and was regularly lifting heavy weights. She’s a devoted mom to three children. Her entire career has been dedicated to helping others, but now she’s the one who needs help.
Her symptoms came on suddenly and have progressed rapidly. She is experiencing numbness on her entire left side, and her pain is worsening daily, making even basic tasks difficult. It’s devastating to watch someone so vibrant struggle to cope with such a dramatic change in her body and health.
My mom is currently on FMLA (Family and Medical Leave) and is unable to work. As of now, she is not receiving any income while we wait for her next steps in care. The financial strain is building quickly—from upcoming medical bills, specialized scans, her biopsy, potential treatments like surgery, radiation or chemo, and everyday expenses like rent, groceries, and utilities.
My mom has always been the kind of person who puts everyone else first and always takes care of others. She’s the heart of our family, and it’s devastating to see her going through this. We’re doing everything we can to support her emotionally and practically, but we are struggling to make ends meet.

After a successful brain biopsy, Tanya has been diagnosed with a grade 4 cancerous Glioma tumor. She is starting chemotherapy asap which is a long, exhausting and expensive journey.
