Our dear friend, Retired MNPD Sgt. Twana Chick was shot by her brother the night of 7/14/21. He suffered from untreated mental illness and shot her multiple times before taking his own life. Thankfully, she miraculously has survived her wounds. Please keep her in your prayers as she will have a long road to recovery!!

Those who know Twana know she is tough as nails!!! She is one of the best people I know and would give the shirt off her back for anyone in need!!!

She will need surgery to repair her wrist as well as the tendons in her leg. She has 4 broken ribs and will likely have a lengthy recovery. This will require her to be off work for a long period of time, she will need help physically, and to spare her parents the burden, She will be handling the cremation of her brother. The funds raised will go directly to Twana for her medical needs, her time off work, to help care for her parents while she is recovering since she is their sole provider, and for her brother to be laid to rest.
