Hi my name is Heather. I am a staff/volunteer at Bright Eyes Animal Sanctuary. It is based in a rural community outside Enniskillen and has being operating since 1989. We do not receive any financial help from the Government but rely solely on public donations.

The sanctuary takes in stray, abandoned, abused and welfare cases of cats and dogs. It has re-homed 1000 cats and dogs over the last 5 years.

I have witnessed first hand how the human race can be so cruel to helpless animals. Some of the animals we take in are so trumatised that they can take months to trust another human being if ever. Some need a lot of veterinery hekp but most of all they need loving furever homes.

Currently we have 80+ dogs and cats that need cared for. Inevitably this requires a lot of money to provide food, heat and medication. Funds have got so low that it has now placed the Sanctuary into serious financial difficulties.

Without our presence in the county the situation will be catastrophic and there will be a massive increase in animals just been “dumped” to fend for them selves.

It is for these reasons that I feel it necessary to ask the animal lovers among you to kindly doante.

It is the greatest feeling when an animal goes to their furever home. There are loving humans who do give rescue animals a second chance.

This is a plea from a passionate animal lover to another. Give what you can to ensure Bright Eyes Animal Sanctuary is operational for years to come.

All the funds raised will be used to pay for running costs to ensure all the animals are fed, warm, medicated but above all loved!
