Alec Jamieson, affectionately known as AJ and one of Bulawayo’s favourite sons, had a bad fall and broke his femur, needing major surgery. Given the dire medical situation in Zimbabwe, coupled with the fact that he does not have Medical aid, his family had to resort to getting him admitted into a private hospital to have the operation done.
Given the urgency, the family reached out and was able to take out a short term loan. The operation was done successfully on Wednesday 24 February 2021 to replace the head of the femur. The hospital bill to date is in excess of USD 7000 and there is still physiotherapy and aftercare to take into account.
We as a family appeal to you to assist us in our time of need as we endeavour to get AJ back to health and repay all outstanding and accumulating costs. We understand that times are hard for everyone especially with the current Covid 19 pandemic, but we would appreciate your prayers and any donation no matter how small.
Thank you and God bless.
