Colleen Flanagan

Hi. My name is Shirley. A group of us are raising funds to help our friend Colleen and her son Ron to pay a huge hotel bill of $5000.

Colleen was sent to Toronto to have heart surgery. Her hospital stay was to be a week. She had the surgery after tests had been completed. There were complications after the operation that have left her feeling physically unwell. An infection also contributed to her lengthy hospital stay of five weeks.

Her son, Ron left northern Ontario to go and be with his mother. He had to take unpaid time off from work. They are now faced with an over $5000 hotel bill. Ron is now back to work, but no longer working full-time.

Colleen is a wonderful sweet kind-hearted person living on a fixed income.

She is presently a patient at St. Joseph’s hospital recovering for another two weeks or more. When she is discharged she will be using a wheelchair to get around in her apartment. We are hoping that she can get her strength back, so she will be able to go back to using her walker only.
