Update: my father passed this morning. May he Rest In Peace along our mom. We know he is no longer suffering or in pain. My father was an amazing father, grandpa, and friend.
Hello, my name is Mayra. I am 25, the oldest daughter of 4 siblings. My father, David Salazar, was diagnosed with a Gastric Tumor in January 2022. He had been in and out of the hospital for the past 6 months with unimaginable pain and was receiving chemotherapy sessions every other week to treat the tumor hoping it would shrink enough to operate on it. Unfortunately, with his pain being out of control and not being stable enough to continue to receive the proper treatment at his local Cancer Center, his tumor continued to grow. It’s taken over major organs to the point that surgery was no longer an option and even chemotherapy wouldn’t help save him. My father’s health declined drastically and has went through major surgery to help with his fluids building up in his body due to the obstruction. He is now in Hospice care in which they are being incredible to him making him feel as comfortable as possible. My father has always been known to be a strong, independent, hard working man until the day he no longer could hold himself up. He will leave behind 4 young adult children and 5 grandchildren (with another one on the way). My father was accompanied by his wife(our mom) for a majority part of his life as they shared almost 20 years of marriage. He lost that love of his life 6 years ago. We never imagined that we would be planning our last parent’s funeral so soon. It’s truly heart wrenching.
With that being said, we were also informed that my father is in his last few weeks of life. My family and I were raised on faith and although we believe in miracles, I am asking friends, family, neighbors, and the public to help with a donation to help prepare for his funeral costs.
Anything helps Thank you in advance!
