Hope for Ethiopia
Hi, my name is David mcdowell
I am running the Belfast city marathon in may 2022 to raise money for a charity very close to my heart - hope for Ethiopia.
hope for Ethiopia was started in 2014 by my granda, Jim McClelland. When he was called by god to Ethiopia to help the needy children
after a few years of fundraising, the following was built in a small village called kuriftu :
- a school where over 700 children are educated free of charge.
- a clinic where children receive free medical care.
- a 2000 seater church where the local people can come and hear the gospel.
- a well, with enough water to last 25 years.
- a feeding facility where the children are fed daily.
the money raised will go directly to the needy children and their family’s in Ethiopia.
