* Time sensitive* Little Red is in the fight of his life. As some may know, my name is Candice and I run KittyMamas Sanctuary Rescue. Tuesday evening I answered a call of urgency from Metropolitan Veterinary hospital in regard to a young kitten who was saved by a good Samaritan and brought to the Emergency late Sunday night. They witnessed the poor boy find himself under the wheels of a moving car. Thank goodness, stopped to help him.

The doctors in the ICU who are taking care of him do believe that this is the life saving surgery he must receive in order to survive. With the urgency and lack of time for him, his fate relied upon a Yes or No” to determine if this boy gets to live on and receive the necessary surgery or if it’s time for a hard decision of humanely euthanizing. If you know of KMSR then you know we had to do something. Luckily as it stands there is no long-term physical damage to his body or his range of movements in addition to all the upper and lower extremities/ spine being in good overall shape. We know very little background of this kitten but we were informed that Little red did have a bit of dental done due to the accident and the internal urgent matter is consistent with a hernia repair that coincides with the trauma caused to his little

body from being hit by a car. Additionally some minor respiratory distress due to possible pulmonary contusions.

Unfortunately the hospital could not perform this surgery without a plan in place and somebody willing to take him after the procedure and cleared to go home. They wanted 2 main things, a safe place for him to recover and rightfully so a monetary obligation to help with some of the medical cost. The Doctors do believe the recovery/survival chances are rather high and could be very successful or truthfully this wouldn’t be something they’d consider to even do. At this time we pray and ask the world for love and support. Whether it be $5, $10, $25, or a $100 donation, any dollar amount and every contribution will help us to reach our goal that equals A LITTLE LIFE SAVED!

We knew we had to start a fundraiser for the ongoing treatment for “Little Red”.

Last night I signed the document as the “owner” we are now being notified of the updates. Red was prepped for surgery yesterday within a half hour of KMSR signing the documents. Now he receives surgery and we need to help him figure it out the rest! !

Later in the day update: He is having a bit of respiratory distress, which may be induced by pain. Ultimately this means the bill will be even higher. Any help for little Red would be so greatly appreciated. Our intake was technically closed but due to our big hearts we simply could not look the other way and send him to his final moments! This boy is a fighter and a survivor who wants to live, with your help we can see he gets the very best chance and one he truly deserves!
