My name is Tambre Patterson, and I’ve spent my life raising my three sons and using my artistry as a chef to feed others. I’ve always enjoyed giving back to the community by feeding the hungry and teaching young people how to cook as a life skill. In 2021, my oldest son Ernest passed away and my heart was broken. However, I knew he would want me to remain strong and continue to help others.

Unfortunately, in June 2022, my life completely changed again, and this time, I’m fighting my own battle. After experiencing severe back pain, which doctors have now diagnosed as late-staged bladder or kidney cancer. Not only do I have a long medical battle ahead, but the stress of not being able to work as a chef, which affects me being able to pay my bills and help my other two sons has heightened.

Not only am I feeling stressed, I’m feeling afraid and unsure of the future. I decided to keep a positive mindset! It was at this point that I decided to start a Gofundme to ask the community that I’ve helped for support. Donating funds will be used to help me to pay bills since I will not be able to work while going through treatment, and also help with any medical/wellness expenses that are not covered by my insurance.

These past few years have been a challenge, but there is nothing I cannot overcome with support! With your help, I can focus on fighting and kicking cancer’s butt so that I can get back to the work that I enjoy, feeding and helping others! Thank you for your support.
