This is my dog Jax. He’s the best boy in the whole world. He has a torn CCL in his right hind knee. The surgeon told me today his surgery would be $4400 and I just cannot afford that. I have adjusted the amount needed because we have not reached a goal of $4400 so I am changing vets from the one that suggested euthanasia. He will see his surgeon and new vet on the 25th of Sept. We will decide what type of physical therapy is best for him and which brace to get. Then he will meet his new vet that will manage his pain management meds. He will stay on the supplements he is currently on and will change to a more expensive but healthier dog food to help him lose some weight also. I’m going to everything in my power to make sure he gets the surgery. Jax has been with me his whole life and has terrible separation anxiety. As most mastiffs are he is a “Velcro dog” and goes everywhere I go. I cannot express in words the love I have for Jax and my daughter and Grandson are just as close to him. Rehoming or taking him to a shelter are not options for us. We WILL find a way!
