I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share the story of my brother, who is currently facing the most difficult battle of his life.

Two years ago, my brother moved to Australia on a dependent visa to support his wife, who came here to pursue her education. Like many young couples chasing a dream, they poured their savings into building a better future abroad. They even took a significant education loan of 80,000 AUD in India to make it possible. Life was tough, but they were determined.

However, everything changed recently. My brother has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer of the salivary gland, which has now unfortunately spread to his lungs. This devastating diagnosis has turned their lives upside down.

Due to the complexities of his visa and the extremely high cost of treatment in Australia, he is unable to begin cancer treatment here.

He is now preparing to return to India as soon as possible to start his treatment. However, the financial burden has become overwhelming. With no income and a student wife still completing her education, they are struggling to cover basic expenses, let alone medical costs. All their savings have been exhausted on education and living expenses, and now they are left with nothing but anxiety and a mounting crisis.

Initial cancer treatment and hospitalisation costs in India

Living and recovery expenses, as he won’t be able to work during treatment
