The Larry H. Miller Used Car Supermarket is family and one of our own is in dire straights.
Chris Carter from our Orem location has been battling brain tumors for the past two years. Last year after successful brain surgery it was thought that Chris had won the battle. While his life was greatly affected he rose the occasion and returned to work ahead of schedule. Novemeber 1st of this year it is was discovered that the tumor had returned. Another surgery removed the tumor for a second time and left Chris with a shunt running down the left side of his body. His pituitary gland was removed at the time affecting every bodily function. He now takes a cocktail of medications to regulate his body. While he is recovering from the most recent surgery he is unable to work and support his family.
We are raising money to support Chris and his family as he continues to fight the good fight. They have sold their home and are moving in with Chirs' mother for support. Chris has given so much to others we are looking to support the Carter family. Chris has 7 children, 4 of which are adopted, that have relied on him and this is our chance to support him.
The money raised with be used provide winter clothing for his children and to cover some of the mounting medical exspenses.
We are hoping to raise the funds by December 15th, 2015. The family at Larry H. Miller Used Car Supermarket is grateful for the support of our employees, vendors, and family members that have taken a proactive approach in helping Chris and his family. Chris has been a mentor and leader to so many of us, giving without expectation of return.
