We hate to do this but Nationwide Pet Insurance is a scam with a $7500 annual cap and we are now in a tight spot.
The past few weeks Lucy went from being our moderately lazy 7yr old baby to a slow moving old lady with no appetite. We brought her in for a vet exam thinking it would be a dental cleaning + seasonal behavioral issues.
After running bloodwork and imaging, we found out that our angel unfortunately has an 8cm mass in her intestines and is now LA’s cutest cancer patient.
Initial imaging looks promising that she may be a strong candidate for surgery, but we are still waiting on pathology to confirm if the cancer is Lymphoma and would be at risk of reoccurrence. If no and we can remove this MASSive mass from our angel, we have been quoted a cool $13k for surgery costs. After initial tests and imaging we have ran to rule out everything else before cancer, we are just at our insurance cap and are anticipating paying this out of pocket.
No one is ever prepared for this - we especially are not. But we are going to be strong for Lucy! We would greatly appreciate anything you can spare to put towards her surgery, but we will gladly take good vibes to help get our baby girl healthy again.
Thank you for even just checking this out

PS - DO NOT GET PET INSURANCE THROUGH NATIONWIDE IT IS A SCAM AND NOW WE ARE STUCK WITH HER CANCER CARE WITH THEM FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE (which will be many, many years after this)
