My name is Emily Carrigan. When I was 8 years old I met Anna Dohey who quickly became one of my very best friends. Sixteen years later our friendship is still strong. She has been there for me no matter what I went through and has helped create the person I am today.
     In April of 2013 she was diagnosed with aggressive late stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's follicular lymphoma. She went through chemo for seven months and over came it. But only a few weeks later it was back. After two rounds of chemo they did a stem cell transplant and she was granted a clean bill of health. Now five weeks later she is back in the hospital because cancer was found in her liver, bowel and lung. With so much back and forth to the hospital as well as a failing immune system and just trying to heal she has been unable to work. I am looking to create a fundraiser in order to help her cover her living costs as well as her medication costs. Anna is a beautiful human being who has taught me so much. She deserves to have at least her monetary stresses lifted. I can’t do anything to help Anna’s health but I am hoping to at least do this much for her. Please help me do so.
