Please Help Me Fund My Theatre Dream!

Hi, my name is Rebecca, I’m 22 and live in the North West of England. I have been fortunate enough to gain offers from two prestigious drama schools here in the UK.

I have chosen to study at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts to complete my Masters degree in Musical Theatre in the hope of it leading to a career in the theatre. This is one of the top drama schools in the country and I feel very privileged to say that I will be studying there, it still has not quite sunk in.

After auditioning last year for Masters courses in Musical Theatre and not getting a place at the drama schools, I was determined to succeed this year. I have worked as a teaching assistant, a youth worker and even have been working in after school club in order to save as much as I can to complete my studies. Unfortunately, although I have been working I still do not have enough money for the course and living costs. Mountview is in Peckham, London which is very expensive especially with the cost of living crisis. I am hoping to work more shifts during the summer holidays and find other ways of raising money to make my dream come true. The course alone costs £20,105 for one year, this is without even thinking of living costs and I am looking to others for their kindness.
