Heather's Hope
Heather's Hope is a fundraising campaign to support Heather Bond, a 44-year old single mom of two beautiful children, who is battling breast cancer. To know Heather is to love her. She is an old soul, a free spirit, dedicated mom, and loving friend who never asks for help.
In November 2020, Heather found a lump in her breast. She was diagnosed with an aggressive type of cancer known as HER2-positive. In order to treat this type of breast cancer, her medical team has prescribed a treatment that is very taxing on her body. Heather has been through six rounds of intense chemotherapy to date. Each treatment has been progressively difficult with the side effects lasting up until the next treatment. There is expected to be a whole new host of symptoms with surgery and radiation in the near future.
As you could imagine, trying to work full time, raise children, and manage day-to-day life, has been a major challenge throughout her treatment. Heather has worked as much as possible during this time, but due to the physical strain the chemo put on her, she had to move to only working part-time at the end of June. After 6 rounds of chemotherapy and its side effects and more treatments in the near future, Heather continues to need help. Heather’s prognosis is good, but with no insurance at the beginning of her treatment and a minimized income, all donations that can help support her and her family are appreciated and welcomed.
Heather has never portrayed herself as a victim before cancer and certainly does not now. It’s one of the many attributes we love about her. She continues to fight every single day to do what she can for herself and her children. Like those who feel blessed to call her friend, we have taken up the torch on her behalf to ask for the help that she never would.
We are asking you to help us help Heather and her kids. Let’s help them get back on their feet, to allow them to focus on healing and not the financials. Heather has much more to give this world but right now, she needs our help. Let make sure she has a long, happy life with her wonderful kiddos. Please donate to Heather's Hope!
